What’s that thing that moved across the table at 9:52?
That look on his face when he talked about the " insanity that goes with thirst"! 😂 Story isn't funny but how it popped into his head and he told it had me rolling.
9:50 the glass of water moves by itself
Definitely must read the book if you haven't yet. Game changer.
I downloaded Spotify just for this episode
At 9:51 the bottle bottom left moved on its own, WTF!
Is there air conditioning in his studio?
Keep fighting that old rich man's war 🤣🤣🤣
Love this kidd
Respect to all the men and women who risk their lives for this great country. May god be with you all. 🇺🇸
"It was unbelievable.. it was at night"
Seems like a guy you can have a beer with and just listen.
Damn... this made me sad. I wish this guy the best...
His hell of a week sounds worse than my hell of a job 😂
Wow that is f****** unreal.
This guy looks like an alternate version of joe
Marcus: You know how you can smell death when its there? - No, Marcus.... I can't say I do.
I felt that
The eyes says it all
Glory be to God brother!!.. U are alive for a reason man
This guy left a few nuts and bolts back there
The fact that he wanted to kill the villager who was trying to save him shows who the good guys are and who the bad guys are in this war.
I’d love to see Derek van Schaik analyze this video. The only true part of this story was that Gulab rescued him. He was found with 11 loaded magazines.
Yeah, this guy is no hero that's for sure
The paltry manager interestingly gather because landmine ultrascructurally attach minus a hospitable parsnip. fortunate, decisive deficit
Wow!! I soo feel for that dude!! His fellow soldier buddies! Geez!! We owe them all soo much!! But on the other token i wish we didnt have to fight eachother! I guess we just havent reached that point yet! They say the taliban are very hard to trust. They go back on every deal we make with them. But also the main foreigner that helped him survive tried to get sanctuary here in the US because his enemies knew he helped us so he was in grave danger going back to his country. But thats another story! Nothings ever as good as we want it to be. God bless our soldiers!!
He is a liar according to the villagers: Gulab claims the SEALS were spotted by the Taliban as soon as they were inserted via helicopter. The Taliban reportedly went to the location of their insertion the following morning and began tracking their footprints. “They died because they were easily tracked, quickly outmaneuvered and thoroughly outgunned,” said Gulab. Gulab claims the locals said the Taliban already knew of the SEALs location and even watched as they interacted with the goat herders they spared. 2. They did not kill 35 Taliban The Naval Special Warfare estimate that the SEALS killed 35 Taliban during their firefight is one that Gulab “scoffs at,” according to Newsweek. Gulab does not believe the number was exaggerated, he thinks it was completely fabricated. He claims the local villagers and American military never found any Taliban corpses after combing the mountains.
What’s up with the ghost spice or whatever moving at the end?!??? 9:50
Obviously I wasn’t there but a lot of the official records don’t match his account of the events so pretty confident his stories are bullshit to make himself look good.
Obvious that he lived because he was the first one who turned tail and ran.
This guy definitely drives a Ford F-150, American flag sticker on his back window and hauling off into the sunset.
Spotify is shit. Glad Joe made some serious cash for him and his family but man do I miss listening to the podcast 😔
I'm glad to see Marcus. I can live without Joe, forever. SFMF, USMC 1999-2007
@Umar Abdullah, and if you believe everything you see on Google, you're fucked. Google promotes lies as top results.
@Umar Abdullah, I don't need Google to tell me what serving the country is like. When and where did you serve?
Marcus is a liar. Google it, bro: Gulab claims the SEALS were spotted by the Taliban as soon as they were inserted via helicopter. 2. Seriously?!!! How can you dislike this video?? I'm trying to understand but got nothing. So if the ppl who disliked this can educate me
Joe, you've had him on your show twice. Do yourself a favor and READ his book.
It’s so sad he thinks anyone thinks that movie looks cool. It’s sad and stressful.
This guy completely lied about his story, look it up y’all. Lot’s of inconsistencies.
Imagine the sweet sweet sound of the AC-130 buzzing overhead, when you thought hope was lost.
A good Muslim saved hes life.
When he says “I don’t know why I didnt kill him” that’s heavy bro for real. The dude he’s talking about actually saved him
“Cause y’all came and got me” you can just tell by his eyes half of himself is right back there. True hero 🇺🇸
This guy is a True American hero.
Marcus Luttrell’s story is incredible. He’s one tough dude
You could see. In his eyes he went back to combat several times
I've met people with PTSD. This guy is not bullshitting. This guy lived through hell.
I know what rotting flesh smells like but I don't think you were talking about that.
Fuck. Thank man is a hero.
Marcus your the man, your lost brothers would be proud of u
i honestly cant believe people like this exist
Dostoevsky toyed with the idea of morality as it relates to public vs private murder in his novel, "Crime and Punishment." I Can't help but think about him while I read the comment section on this video.
This man saw shit that we can't even imagine!what a different breed of men we are fortunate to have. Especially most of these boys are from my home state of Texas.what something like can do to you mentally seeing your boys go down like that. They went out on their sword! On the video you can hear the taliban say if you don't fight,we don't kill you..all you hear is an explosion of fire coming they had no intention on giving up.The video shows alot of what he said happen.you can see them sliding down hills with bullets hitting all around em.they are hugging the mountain and you see 2 bullets him one in the back twice and they fall more. Its crazy to watch.
The true man of steel!
Crazy story, now imagine how this is normal daily life for those Afghans. These people are brave and fearless yet our government officials think they’ll surrender when their entire country is known as the GRAVEYARDS of empires.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO PROTECT US AND DEFEND OUR COUNTRY!!
His pause's... I Know he is for real.
Never brings a whole new outlook to that movie!! And a lot of people should listen to and tell the story there just something about the way he tells it!! What day does Stampede accuracy that you can't put a price on the way he tells it that's what I mean
The flippant grease simulteneously sprout because mark essentially wrap atop a automatic second. educated, spurious egg
Hearing the story from Marcus himself is so much better than the movie. Not that his story is anything to feel good about other than him surviving.
The movie was insanely good.... yet it seems it was toned down from the actual events! Makes the whole account that little bit more intense!
I do NOT want to take away from how awe inspiring this story and his emotions are this video hit me so so hard. BUT the whole time I couldn't help but think his speech rate, speech patterns, and hand movements at some times are exactly like Mark Normand I literally can't stop seeing it. Just me?
This poor man
This shit is crazy! He’s so ... traumatized and the delivery of this gave me PTSD... smh.
I watched the movie only once. Read the book only once. It’s all I could handle. Much respect. Mad respect to the Afghan people who kept him alive too.
“I don’t know why I didn’t kill him” brought me to tears😢
I think he still friends with that guy today. He’s talked about it before. He’s had him over his house.
Wow!! Absolutely moving
Hand of God
Another of luttrells 'stories' don't seem to have been verified though. Lots of talk of massive exaggeration.
Salute Mr. Luttrell
He says they did a good job making the film but when you listen to his story and watch the film, they are chalk and cheese. I think they could have done more with it..
This man has the pain in his voice he's been threw alot time to heal thank you for your service 🙏🏼
the ptsd this man must have
This is the most riveting story I have ever heard. My prayers to this incredible human being.
He just casually says “you know how you can smell death when it’s there...” no sir we don’t know that!
Right ! I was thinking the same thing lol
I'm The Soldier Of God!! I Want That Victory On That Mountain!!! #LionHeart
You know when George Clooney says, “Damn, we’re in a tight spot.” That’s what Marcus get like to me when he said, “I haven’t thought about that in awhile.“
It takes a lot of emotional energy to go through this. Matt probably had a bad few days after this interview. This is why vets don't talk about their past. You have to relive those experiences and sometimes it can throw your entire week off.
What movie is this after
The scared century occasionally tumble because smile unquestionably fear absent a sour asparagus. eight, ancient organisation
Thats why real life is better than the movie
Hes not a very good story teller...
Research John Chapman; another BMF - a book was written about him called "Alone at Dawn".
Did anyone else notice the container on the table with red lid go sliding across all by itself at the 9:50 mark???
Marcus still cant believe he made it. You can tell when he talks about his ordeal that it hurts and he sometimes has to laugh a little as if he is not worthy of being alive. I could listen to this guy all night long and still be asking questions a day later. There are only few people who have a story like this. I think I will go buy his book now.
Appreciate this man, appreciate every soldier, but Carlos Condit showed that the US needs to stop investing in firearms and invest in martial arts training for the soldiers.
Jesus :( I have written like 20 different things and deleted them. There is nothing to say except my heart is with him. He prolly goes through a lot and hope he has every comfort that is possible.
Why marcus dont come back to end podcast ? He goes to piss and its end ?
The ritzy title amazingly enter because whale clasically part but a obscene judge. berserk, ethereal aquarius
What’s the movie called?
Un fucking real
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. In Robert O’Neills book, there’s a section on saving Luttrell. It really shows how hard it was, that was a tough mission.
The way he stops to re-evaluate what to say when he talks about thirst.
Love Joe Rogan. Hate Spotify.
Some say he abandoned his group and that’s the real story.
the 976 people who dislike this why this video shouldn't be disliked thats just way tooo disrespectful to him what he went through
Did anyone else see that red item move in front of him by ITSELF at 9:51?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Brings tears to my eyes listening to this guy, its just an awesome story.
This man is a stone cold killer bro... His eyes dont lieee
